Bar-Ilan University
The Faculty of Law at Bar-Ilan University was founded in 1970 and is currently one of the leading law schools in Israel, with about 1,500 students in its LL.B., LL.M., M.A., and Ph.D. programs. All members of its faculty—many of whom received their graduate degrees in the U.S. or Europe—engage in both local-Israeli and trans-national legal scholarship. Bar-Ilan Law’s academic curriculum is supplemented by a mandatory clinical program, in which students engage in legal aid and public lawyering on diverse topics, and offers multiple international student exchange programs with universities worldwide. Reflecting its commitment to academic excellence, public service, and a pluralist society, Bar-Ilan Law graduates regularly achieve positions of prominence in both public and private sectors, including among the ranks of government ministers, Knesset members, the judicial bench, and Israel’s largest law firms, in-house practices, and business leaders. Bar-Ilan Law hosted the ATLAS Agora in 2012.
Erasmus School of Law
Erasmus School of Law is an international oriented faculty with its heart and soul rooted in Rotterdam. Our faculty is a breeding ground for academic talent in different fields of Law. We aim to be a partner of legal practice, government, business, science and art. Erasmus School of Law facilitates education and research at an outstanding level.
The fundamental premise underlying academic research conducted at Erasmus School of Law is that law cannot be considered in splendid isolation or as an end in itself. It is embedded in an economic and social context that shapes law. At the same time, the law itself shapes society and defines economic relationships. In line with this vision, the mission of Erasmus School of Law is to conduct innovative research on the function of law in its economic and social context. Osgoode Hall Law School
Osgoode Hall Law School is strongly connected to the legal profession, government and other law schools both nationally and internationally. With one of the largest full-time faculty complements of any Canadian law school, Osgoode is a hub of intellectual activity. Osgoode’s research has tremendous breadth and depth, from aboriginal law and legal theory to transnational law and beyond.
University of Antwerp
The Faculty of Law of the University of Antwerp is a thriving academic community of around 2000 students, among them over 90 PhD students. Sustainability, diversity, internationalisation and active pluralism are guiding principles. In research and education the Faculty takes social perspectives into account. It puts its expertise at the service of society, ranging from postgraduate courses and socio-economic policy-making to involvement in non-profit organisations and social debate in general. The Faculty is strongly committed to competence-based education in small groups, always placing law in its proper context. In addition to its Bachelor and Master of Laws in Dutch, the Faculty offers the only fully equivalent Master of Laws taught in English in Belgium. Its research is renowned for the study of positive law, but also for gauging the fundamental meaning of law in society and in public administration.
University College Dublin Sutherland School of Law
University College Dublin (UCD) has been a member of the Association of Transnational Law Schools (ATLAS) network since 2016. Founded in 1911, the UCD Sutherland School of Law is the leading centre for legal education and research in Ireland, and is currently ranked within the top 100 law schools in the world in the QS World University Rankings. The School’s educational mission has remained at the heart of its endeavours and today its wide range of high quality undergraduate and graduate (taught and research) programmes encourage the development of both a critical understanding of the law, and the enhancement of legal and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills. The School has a thriving doctoral research programme, with over 40 PhD students plus visiting researchers from overseas institutions under the Sutherland Fellows Programme. Our doctoral research is particularly focussed on transnational studies, for instance, in the areas of environmental regulation, trade or migration. Founded in 1778 as the third faculty of University of Graz, REWI Graz, with its approximately 4,000 students is among the largest law schools in the region.
